I’ve been trying to be healthier and better to myself and I found this girl’s blog who has dedicated her whole blog to her road to healthy living. I thought that would be a nice thing to add to MissFancy.
Things I would like to do in my life:
- Stop eating absolute garbage. If I want something sweet, I’ll have to work for it and make it myself. Maybe a recipe from Babycakes or something like that.
- Eat fruit and/or vegetables every day. This sound ridiculously easy, but it gets hard sometimes when you get home from work and all you want to do is put that frozen pizza in the oven for 15 minutes or open a bag of chips because you just want food in you. Or if you’re just a fat ass like me. I think I might start doing that by making a Green Monster for breakfast.
- The gym and getting cardio and yoga into my life. So maybe I’ll start documenting different things that I’ve done at the gym. And I want to make it a true staple of my life. I actually haven’t been in a few days because of work and the holiday hours, and I feel like crap. I feel like the two are related.
- Ride my bike more often. I loathe buying gas for some reason, so this will help with that and the lack of money I have. Work is too far away to ride my bike but perhaps I can keep my bike in the back of my car or something like that so I can plant myself in a more central area and then bike around from there.
- Buy more organic. It’s a bit more expensive, but I want to do what I can. I’ve been reading more and more about the food and cosmetics industries and how there really aren’t any laws preventing them from putting crap in there. It’s mind numbing.
- Buy real food. No pre-packaged food like PopTarts
or frozen pizzas. Buy actual food products and make meals from there.
Those are some ideas to start from. I’m sure I will epically fail from time to time, but that’s going to happen. I’m not perfect and never plan to be.
